How to take care of your pet hermit crab:
Hermit crabs are not great for first time pet owners. They are a lot of hard work! It takes a lot of time to take care of them! A large fish tank is usually a good home for your hermit crab. It holds in the humidity and still lets the fresh air through. Even if your crab starts of as a little guy,10 gallons is the least amount of water needed in the tank! You will need a hygrometer and a thermometer to maintain and to monitor the temperature. 70-85 Fahrenheit is a good temperature range. Then get a substrate for your tank. The material you are using as substrate for you tank should be 3-5 times the height of your crab. You should change the substrate every 6 months. Hermit crabs love to play and climb so get some rocks for them to play with. Good luck!
